Commenting on the news that Highland Airways has gone into administration, Liberal Democrat MP for Argyll and Bute and Shadow Minister for Northern Ireland and Scotland, Alan Reid said:

“I am extremely disappointed that Highland Airways have called in the administrators.

“The Scottish Government must step in urgently and maintain the airlink to Tiree, Coll and Colonsay.

“This is particularly important for the Scholar flight, which flies pupils between the islands and Oban High each weekend.”
